We advise you to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. When you attend you will be greeted by a receptionist at 10 Harley Street who will give you a specimen bottle in which to provide a fresh urine sample. Please provide a ‘first-pass’ specimen, rather than a ‘mid-stream’ specimen as this will improve the sensitivity of the test.
Whilst your urine sample is being analysed by our on-site Biomedical Scientist, your doctor will call you through and start the consultation. He or she will take your history, discuss your symptoms, provide you with a diagnosis and advise you on the best course of action.
There will be no invasive tests, and a physical examination is usually unnecessary for the diagnosis and management of the condition. The treatment will be discussed with you, and we advise you to commence this immediately. A full prescription and a comprehensive clinical summary will be generated and emailed at the end of the consultation to both you and your General Practitioner. A new patient information pack with resources, patient information sheets and references will also be sent by email for you to read and fully understand the diagnosis, management, and clinic policies.
